Patina Miller
Miller was the main actor in Stephen Schwartz's celebrated production of "Pippin" on Broadway. The show was directed by Tony Award-winning director Diane Paulus, and also featuring Matthew James Thomas, Andrea Martin and Terrence Mann, "Pippin" received the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical at the 67th annual Tony Awards. Patina created her own modern spin on the award-winning Ben Vereen's performance and managed to master the Fosse movements that were so vital to the production. Patina's performance won her an Tony Award in the category of Outstanding Actress in a Leading Role Musical. The Outer Critics Circle Award was as well for Outstanding Actress. Her previous roles included the one of Lead Player in American Repertory Theater production of "Pippin" during the month of the month of December 2012 through January 2013. Miller made her Broadway debut in the 2011 Broadway season as the gutsy nightclub-singer-turned-nun "Deloris Van Cartier" in the stage adaptation of "Sister Act", which earned her first Tony nomination, as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance.
